Stress
In the course of everyone's life an event, or stressor, occurs which
produces disturbing symptons. Often, these upsetting reactions seem to resolve themselves through a natural healing
process called "adaptive information processing". In short, we just feel better over time without the need
for outside assistance. Sometimes, though, our mind/body cannot heal itself. This may be because the event was
too powerful or was experienced at a time when the person's normal healing resources were compromised. At these
times, one should consider consulting with a clinician regarding appropriate treatment. Stress related problems are
treatable.

"Freedom is what you do with what is done to you." - Jean-Paul Sartre |
Those who have been tested by adversity, pain or
loss simultaneously face both risk and opportunity. The risk is that they will learn to cope with a diminished quality
of life. The opportunity is for growth in spirit and wisdom.
